Welcome to UTAIL

Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (UTAIL) is established in 2005 as a part of Department of Intelligent Interaction Technologies at the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba. We conduct a number of research and development in key technologies and systems for machine learning, robot vision, music technology, media engineering and robotics.

The research topics include various fields such as humanoid robot; autonomous robot; machine learning; evolutionary computation; pattern classification; multimodal human-machine communication; environment recognition; sound database; music/sound signal processing, and Kansei (affective) computing.
